Category News

South Africa experiences the seasons in a dissimilar fashion depending on where you are. No winter is the same which leads to a variety of stunning spots to spend a cooler vacation.

Addo Elephant National Park

Located on the untouched Wild Coast of the Eastern Cape and in between East London and Port Elizabeth, lies the Addo National Park. A place to slow down and take in nature. The reserve hotel combines luxury, world-class design and architecture, and stylised living with the natural elements of the surrounding area along the Garden Route. The reserve boasts abundant game and local birdlife, with several renowned Big 5 listening posts just moments away.

Knysna Oyster Festival

Although mainly visited by surfers and summer holidaymakers, Knysna on the Western Cape Coast boasts an all year round local scene with its Oyster Festival running successfully since 1983. Spread across two weekends, the festival runs through ten days during the winter off-peak season. The programme is as varied as the clientele. Enjoy such activities as walks through the indigenous forests of the Garden Route, swims in the famous Knysna Lagoon, live music, and golf at award-winning golf estates. Over and above, there are such activities as live comedy shows, murder mystery evenings, and various wine tasting events to keep you entertained during your stay.

The Kruger National Park

Probably one of the most iconic locations in Southern Africa, this National Park is the ultimate stop for anyone touring the continent. Members of the Big Five are more likely to be seen strolling around during the cooler and dryer times of the year.
