The Boutique Experience: Uniqueness, Growth, and Dedication. Ft Sakhile Shandu

Category News

As a company defined by its people, getting to know everyone who makes us who we are, speaks to our personal, boutique and unique approach to property sales.

Introducing Sakhile Shandu, our candidate property practitioner operating within Johannesburg, as he shares his experiences.

Describing the boutique experience

The term "boutique" holds a special meaning for us. We see ourselves as a select group, positioned above the rest, capable of delivering a service experience surpassing all expectations. As skilled property practitioners, we provide our clients with the utmost service, embodying the essence of the boutique experience.

This encompasses creating unforgettable first impressions, maintaining professionalism, and cultivating long-term solid relationships and friendships with every client we encounter. It's about genuinely understanding, listening, and immersing ourselves in the world of our clients, offering a customised service that sets us apart from other agencies.

How would you describe Hamilton's growth over the years?

During my time at Hamilton's, which has been around 5 to 6 years, I have witnessed the company's growth align perfectly with my aspirations. What initially drew me to Hamilton's was its smaller, nimble, and flexible nature compared to other options. My first meeting with Regan, after being with another real estate company for several years, left a lasting impression.

He clarified that we didn't want to emulate or compete with the other national realtors, which resonated deeply with me and ultimately led me to choose Hamilton's. I firmly believe that our brand has immense potential.  Furthermore, it is a genuine pleasure to work with property practitioners who are genuinely different from the rest, driven for success, and passionate about the property industry.

What signature events, sales, or changes would you attribute to Hamilton's?

In my opinion, the key to the success of our boutique agency lies in the careful selection of properties we take on. By being discerning and focusing on properties that align with our profile, as well as targeting specific niche markets as we have done in Waterfall, we contribute to the agency's success. Additionally, achieving impressive sales figures plays a role, as people are drawn to a company that can achieve such extraordinary results.

Tell us an interesting story about a customer or a sale that impacted your life.

Recently, I had the privilege of closing a high-end deal in Waterfall, an experience that left an indelible mark on my perspective. As I witnessed the emotions of my clients upon signing what is the most important deal of my career to date, I was taken aback and deeply moved.

The overwhelming realisation, amidst my excitement and happiness, was I needed to be sensitive to the significance this held in their lives. Seeing my client so moved on a day that marked the culmination of their life's project, passion, and dream made me appreciate the profound impact of my work. It was a moment that forever changed me, especially coming from a background where I have had to work tirelessly to achieve everything from scratch.

This deal has altered my perspective irrevocably, and I am excited to include it as a chapter in my upcoming book titled "The President's Gardener." Watch this space for more updates!
