Shaping the Future of Hamilton's Property Sales. Ft Richard Brussow

Category News

At Hamilton's, we firmly believe our people are at the core of our identity, shaping our distinctive approach to property sales.

Today, we are excited to introduce Richard Brussow, one of our talented Candidate Property Practitioners based in Cape Town. Richard brings his own unique experiences and perspectives to his role at Hamilton's, making him an invaluable member of our team.

In this feature, Richard will share his journey and insights as a Hamilton's Candidate Property Practitioner, showcasing the passion and expertise driving him in the real estate industry.

Tell us a little bit about your background in real estate

After an initial start in the real estate industry in Pretoria, I had the opportunity to work with Jaguar Land Rover SA. I put my real estate career on hold to pursue this exciting opportunity. However, just as I was getting started, COVID-19 struck, and I was unfortunately retrenched.

After my son was born, my family and I decided to move to Cape Town. It was then that I decided to reignite my real estate career, this time with full-time commitment and a determination to build a solid foundation for my future as a Hamilton's Property Practitioner.

Tell us a little about your background, upbringing, hobbies etc.

Born and raised in Pretoria, I'm naturally adventurous, and I thrive in outdoor environments while relishing in social interactions. My diverse range of hobbies and interests includes fitness, cars, shoes, nurturing family bonds, and being an avid gamer 🎮.

What made you decide to be a part of the Hamilton's family?

The Hamilton's brand is renowned for its distinctive class of properties, meticulous attention to detail and unwavering professionalism. I aspired to align myself with such a prestigious brand to establish a thriving real estate career and maintain steadfast loyalty to its reputation.

What signature events, sales, or changes would you attribute Hamilton's success as a boutique agency to?

Hamilton's fosters enthusiasm among its team for active participation in charitable events, partly owing to the agency's culture that encourages Property Practitioners to be creative and proactive with their ideas.

At Hamilton's, we pride ourselves on not being just another "run-of-the-mill" agency. Instead, our Property Practitioners invest the time and effort to thoroughly understand our clients, forging meaningful relationships beyond the transactional and ensuring a personalised and exceptional experience.

Tell us about an exciting experience you had in your career

I had an unforgettable encounter with a customer at Land Rover who initially appeared to be in challenging financial circumstances. However, to my surprise, he purchased not one but two brand-new SVR Range Rovers, paying a staggering 7.5 million in cash. This experience taught me a powerful lesson: never judge a book by its cover.

It reinforced the importance of an open mind when interacting with people in any industry. It emphasised the significance of getting to know the individuals I meet, especially my clients. This encounter served as a valuable reminder that proper understanding and meaningful connections can often lie beneath the surface, and it's our responsibility to uncover them.
