Things change quickly and long term travel plans could end up being dashed in a heartbeat.

With that in mind, we've decided the best way to avoid international and even regional travel restrictions is to book a superb location right in your home province. What's more, the Summerfell Collection hosts a private luxury game lodge at Dinokeng offering this exclusive marvel with an observation tower for exquisite 360-degree views of the bush. Durban - St Lucia and Margate

When they talk about fun, sun, and sea, they're generally talking about the province with the busiest beaches in the country. With the warm Indian ocean and an even warmer tropical summer, Durban and the greater Natal province is a favourite for practically any holidaymaker in the country. Luckily as Durbanites, you may get to experience a little more of that for yourselves this season. On the northern coast of Natal sits one of the world's foremost heritage sites known as the St. Lucia river estuary. St Lucia is nestled inside the iSimangaliso Wetland Park on KwaZulu-Natal's Elephant Coast and is known as the town where hippos are likely to roam the streets from time to time. Durbanites will appreciate the luxury offerings of the Pelican's Nest Holiday Home which has a prime view of the river estuary and the mangroves.

Take a trip along the south towards the Hibiscus Coast and you will find the holiday town of Margate in all its seaside glory. During long weekends and holiday seasons, large volumes of tourists from all over the country flock to Margate, which speaks volumes about how much this holiday town has to offer. From awesome sea conditions for surfing to biking trails along the coast, your outdoors itinerary will become filled up fast!
