We are expecting to see a boom in the property market. Traditionally from the start of spring all the way through summer, we see an increase in property sellers and buyers. It has been a tumultuous few years in South Africa and globally, post Covid and economic challenges have brought uncertainty, making both local and international investments tricky.

Spring always presents the perfect opportunity for us to get out of the house, but is it a good time to SELL your house? Buyers tend to look for new homes around this time as they often look to move homes during the end of the year or around the start of the new year.
According to PrivateProperty.co.za, the new year presents a fresh opportunity to either up or downscale their homes. As such, spring is generally when they'll start house hunting before making the Offer To Purchase and waiting out the transfer process. Those relocating from region to region will put in their offers as soon as possible so they can plan their move.
Sellers will often take advantage of this short window to spruce up their gardens for spring. Leveraging the timeframe where their gardens look the best.
Beyond this, spring is also the best time to showcase homes that incorporate indoor and outdoor living features such as window glazing and combining patios with living rooms via the use of wide sliding doors or shutters.

With our moods reflecting the sunshine of spring, it's generally understood that our motivational spark causes us to become more creative. According to sociologists at the University of Michigan, spending time outside in the warm sunny air does more for us than simply boosting our moods. In fact, they have found it can even change the way you think and perceive the outside world.
Participants in their research found that during this time of the year, you are more able to see the bigger picture as your mind broadens. This leaves one more open to new information, a little more likely to have our minds changed about beliefs or ideas, and, of course, more inspired to get creative!
